There are 2 different divisions in the National Economics Challenge States Competition:
Adam Smith (Advanced)
Participants will be enrolled in AP, IB, honors, and college level classes taught by a secondary teacher or an experienced competitor
David Ricardo (Beginner)
Open to first time competitors who have not taken an AP or advanced economic class
States Qualifier Test:
30 questions in total, 35 min multiple choice
The top 3 scores from each team are added to determine which teams qualify to State Finals
State Finals:
Round I: Microeconomics
Round II: Macroeconomics
Round III: International Economics, Current Events, and Applied Policy Issues
Round IV: David Ricardo/Adam Smith Quiz Bowl
