Nidhi Riju, PRESIDENT
INTRO
For Nidhi, DECA has always been more than just competition, it’s been a place to grow, discover new passions, and connect with people who inspire her. As your 2025–2026 President, she’s excited to continue building a chapter where every member feels supported and motivated to succeed.
DECA
Nidhi has competed across multiple marketing, entrpreneurship, and project management events. Specifically she has gotten 2nd Place in MTDM at SCDC and has competed at the international level for EIB and PMCA.
PASSION
Outside of DECA, Nidhi enjoys photography, camping, and reading.

Poorv Patil, PRESIDENT
INTRO
Poorv is honored to serve as your 2025-2026 President. What began as a fun way to learn about business has transformed his high school experience, improving his skills and creating lasting friendships. Now, he is dedicated to giving back by equipping members with the resources to succeed and leading the chapter to new heights.
DECA
Poorv has primarily competed in the Marketing Cluster, with his expertise in events like IMCS, SEM, and BSM. Last year, he placed 4th in IMCS at SCDC, qualifying him for ICDC, where he scored in the top 5% in the Marketing Exam. He also won 1st at NorCal in SEM. Poorv especially enjoys roleplay events that challenge him and force him to think on the spot.
PASSION
When he’s not having fun at DECA conferences, Poorv loves traveling, fantasy football, and flying his drone. He loves swimming, rafting, boating—pretty much anything to do with water. He loves spending time with his family and friends.

ERIC SHEN, LOGISTICS
INTRO
Eric Shen is a junior at Irvington highschool, where he serves Irvington DECA's VP of Logistics Last year, he served as an intern under President Dua and friends working in all departments of Irvington DECA to gain valuable experience. Eric hopes to help make the '25 to '26 Irvington DECA season one you won't forget!
DECA
Eric has been a part of two DECA chapters in two different schools, granting him a wider perspective on the performance of many other chapters. In his freshmen year, he placed 2nd with his team to go to ICDC. As a shopmore, he placed 3rd at the Norcal conference. He hopes to continue his success this new DECA year.
PASSION
Eric likes to play games, tinker with computers, and drive around. That's pretty much it.

SOPHIA KHAN, AUXILIARIES
INTRO
Now a senior, Sophia serves as the VP of Auxiliaries after being the Director of Logistics last year, where she planned key events like Minicon. In her new role, she will oversee and grow the Diamond Consulting and RISE programs and is excited to make her final year a great one.
DECA
Entering her final year in DECA, Sophia brings a strong competitive record, especially in her specialty of Hospitality and Tourism. After placing in the top 10 at SCDC as a sophomore and 2nd in her event as a junior, she is driven to achieve even greater success this year.
PASSION
Newly liscenced, Sophia enjoys driving around and blasting music with rolled-down windows. When she's not out on side quests, you can often find her making matcha/coffee, painting or editing videos, or extending her Duolingo streak (she's learning Arabic). Some of Sophia's favorite artists include Drake, Halsey, SZA, and Baby Keem.

My name is Tia Mehta and I am a sophomore at Irvington High School. I am looking forward to being an officer for Irvington DECA in the 2025-2026 year.
DECA
My interest in DECA began with the DECA RISE program. This inspired me to participate in the ESB, ETDM, and PEN events during my freshman year.
PASSION
Beyond DECA, I enjoy swimming, reading, and baking. I've been swimming since I was seven years old and love to bake for my family and friends.

I’ve been a part of DECA for the past year and a half with Diamond Consulting, and I'm super excited to finally compete.
PASSION
I love playing my instrument, the veena, as well as mixed media painting, photography, and watching movies with loved ones! Some other favorites of mine are the beach (!), Taco Bell, R&B music, and thrifting!!

Svanik serves as a supportive "big brother" in Irvington DECA, patiently guiding new members from his own experience. He strives to be the kind of approachable leader he once looked up to, aiming to make a lasting impact through mentorship and kindness.
DECA
Though known for his sharp appearance, Svanik’s DECA journey was defined by resilience. He overcame a broken hand by learning to compete with his non-dominant one, a challenge that fueled his path to becoming an ICDC finalist. Valuing the community bonds over trophies, he now dedicates himself to enriching Irvington DECA, ensuring members leave with both new skills and lasting memories.
PASSION
Svanik's passions are driven by a desire to connect with people. He uses basketball to engage with communities everywhere he goes, and this spirit of connection inspires him to give back to those who've supported him. For Svanik, passion is not just about what he does, but how he uplifts others along the way.

Aisha Shoukat is a sophomore at Irvington High School and will be serving as the Director of Competitions – New Members Lead for the 2025–26 school year.

She has been involved in DECA since her freshman year and primarily competes in the entrepreneurship cluster.
PASSION
Outside of DECA, Aisha enjoys exploring foreign languages, painting, and spending time in local coffee shops.
