ABOUT

Irvington DECA is excited to offer the National Economics Challenge for the second year! No experience in economics nor a CTE class is required to join or compete, as we have unlimited spots available.

The National Economics Challenge is a testing focused team competition for high schoolers based on macro/microeconomics concepts and knowledge of the world economy. Teams will consist of 3 to 4 competitors who compete in their region to qualify to the state and national levels. With thousands of dollars in cash prizes and an all expenses paid trip to NYC on the line, this is an amazing opportunity to learn about economics, knowledge that's applicable not only in the business world but the vast majority of career paths as well.

In order to help competitors, we will be providing practice tests, optional content lessons, and additional materials to help you excel, but most content will be self-paced meaning low time commitment. All material here will also be helpful for those who are taking the AP Macro/Micro economics exam. If you've already taken the exam, this will be a great way for you to compete for awards on knowledge you're already familiar with.
